Game Info

Name Backgammon
Type Board
Description The classic board-race game. Roll the dice, move your pieces, capture your opponent's pieces, and get your pieces off the board first!

The computer opponent in this version is quite good, using a good balance between offensive and defensive strategy.
Rules Summary Backgammon is a game of racing. Try to run all of your pieces into the "Home" area at the lower-right of the screen. Your opponent is attempting to move his pieces to the upper-right "Home". Your pieces move counter-clockwise.

To begin a turn, roll the dice and move your pieces from point-to-point following the dice. If you roll doubles, you can move twice. If your opponent has one piece on a point, you can capture it by moving to the point. Captured pieces must move out of capture before other pieces can move. You can start moving pieces home once all of the pieces are in the lower-right sector of the board.
