Description |
A simple, but addictive, poker game. Using a single deck of cards, try to make 3, 4, or 5-card poker hands while the cards drop from the sky.
It seems quite easy at first, but there's quite a bit of risk involved if you want to make the really high scores! |

Rules Summary |
The rules of Arcade Poker are simple. By dropping cards on the grid, try to make straights, flushes, and straight-flushes with the cards. use the arrow keys to move the cards back and forth and to move the next cards to be dropped. When you do, the cards will be removed, adding to your score. Groupings of four cards are worth more than strings of three, and groups of five are worth more than groups of four. With five-card groups, you can also make full houses or royal flushes for big points. The game is over when all 52 cards have dropped or if a stack gets more than five cards high.

A game of Arcade Poker in action. In this game, the jack of spades is being dropped into place. I've got a few possibilities set up. I can make a flush by dropping a spade or a heart to the bottom level. I can make a straight by dropping a 6 or a 9 into the first column. Also, I can make a three-of-a-kind by dropping a king, 10, or jack later in the game. I should probably try for the 3-of-a-kinds if possible, because they score the most points.
